Welcome to Foothills Grange, our eatery and bar located in Black Mountain! The Grange’s expansive space features indoor and outdoor seating, a large patio, covered picnic tables, and a kids’ play space with dirt piles and Tonka trucks.
We serve an iconic menu of house-ground smash burgers, secret recipe hot dogs, specialty sandwiches, and our famous tallow fries. The main building includes an airy indoor bar with 16 taps, a large bottle and can selection, and slushies for kids and adults. Parking is available along Broadway and adjoining streets.

The Grange Movement
Our name Foothills Grange is inspired by historical and cultural elements in honor of the Grange Movement, a significant period in American Agriculture history that began over 135 years ago. On the heels of the Civil War, The “Grangers” founded the first progressive farming movement in the United States. They created a nationwide effort for the social and economic betterment of farmers, including equal voting rights for women and farmers of color. The Grange was responsible for creating well known organizations such as 4-H and Future Farmers of America.
